Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) is a newly introduced third-party logistics (3PL) solution that enables long-term storage of upstream inventory in Amazon's distribution centers and allows for automatic transport of products to Amazon's fulfillment centers.
So how do you set it up in VentoryOne? It's very simple:
Step 1)
First, go to the “Warehouse Management” menu (1). There, create a new warehouse (2). It is also possible to convert an existing warehouse into an AMZ warehouse (3).
Please note, however, that you can only have one Amazon warehouse per account.
Step 2)
Fill in all the necessary fields and change the field “Warehouse Type” from ‘Regular’ to “Amazon Warehouse” (1,2). Don't forget to save your changes (3)!
The inventory in 3PL is booked with the supplier orders (i.e., manually or through the ordering system). The inventory is therefore not booked via the API interface.
However, the inventory is automatically kept up to date through the FBA shipments that Amazon creates automatically. The inventory is therefore automatically reduced.
