The Amazon UK marketplace (or local inventories in FR, IT, ES, etc.) can be reflected in VentoryOne in various ways. How the complete configuration must ultimately be carried out for you depends on your processes.
It is important to note that VentoryOne is SKU-based. This means that once you have local stock in the respective countries, the functionality of an SKU in VentoryOne is limited.
For example: You have an SKU that you sell via PAN EU, and you also send goods to Amazon UK using the same SKU. Firstly, there is currently (May 2024) only one pre-FBA stock per SKU. This means that you cannot map pre-FBA stock in the UK with a separate lead time. You can create a warehouse, but the shipping recommendation is always based on a lead time, which is usually different for the UK and the EU. Furthermore, you would not immediately see when goods need to be transferred from Germany to the UK.
AND
There is currently only one forecast. The forecast function is generally blocked for SKUs for which a different or additional fulfilment source has been activated.
For a better understanding, we will first explain the different working methods below. We will then list the necessary or possible configurations. The examples below can be applied to any country.
A) You sell on Amazon UK but store your goods in Germany
B) You sell on Amazon UK and also use a prep warehouse in the UK
C) You sell on Amazon UK and import the goods directly to the UK
Possible configurations are then listed.
1) You activate the fulfilment source and do not use a forecast or a separate lead time for the UK or EU warehouse for the respective SKU. (For seasonal products, there is an interval that reflects seasonality)
2) You create a separate VentoryOne account in which you only activate the UK marketplace.
Advantages:
Forecast
Separate pre-FBA inventory
Separate lead time
Separate pre-FBA inventory
Disadvantages:
The total order quantity from the UK and EU must be calculated yourself if the goods are only imported to Germany.
If you send goods from Germany to the UK, the inventory in both the EU and UK accounts must be adjusted.
3) Create separate SKUs for each country and use the bundle or bill of materials function as shown in the illustration.
Advantages:
Separate pre-FBA stock
Separate lead time
Total order quantity from UK, FR... and EU is visible on one SKU
Local stock directly visible
Better overview
FBA and FBM possible
Disadvantages:
No forecast due to the bundle function
Separate SKUs must be created in SC
